Migration Health – Thailand

Under the overall supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer and the direct supervision of the Migration Health Officer, the intern will support the planning, implementation and reporting of migration health projects in Mae Sot, Tak province, Thailand.

The migration health team based in Mae Sot is working on Tuberculosis active case finding and coordination of migration health promotion. The intern will also support the preparation for and the initiation of a new project on provincial migration health system governance in Tak province.

Through this internship in MHU, the intern will be able to:
• Get exposed to migration health and development context within an international organization.
• Get familiar with the health context in the camps at the borders.
• Learn about and support the identification and assessment of the migrants’ and refugees health needs in Thailand.
• Learn about and support the IOM health activities / projects planning, development and implementation.

Startdates: October 2025 / January 2026 / April 2026 / July 2026 / October 2026.
